Dudgeon Offshore Wind Project

Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited (DOW), was a subsidiary of Warwick Energy Limited, and was formed to develop the proposed offshore wind farm project at Dudgeon. It is now owned by Statoil and Statkraft.

The Government’s energy strategy includes a target to generate 20% of the UK’s electricity needs from renewable sources by 2020. Currently, the UK generates around 10% of its electricity from renewable sources. The development of offshore wind farms is key to the Government’s renewable energy targets and will contribute to the nation’s electricity supply security.

The Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm could be operational by the end of 2016.
