The Caythorpe gas field is located onshore near Bridlington in East Yorkshire.

Studies indicate that the gas field has the potential to offer short term withdrawal and injection rates of up to 300 MMscf/d and a total usable storage capacity of 7.5 Bscf.

Warwick Energy operated the gas field and associated power station from 2001 until 2008 when the original project, and all of the rights to develop a gas storage scheme at Caythorpe were sold to Centrica plc.
